Sorry (and other words)

I

I'm sorry, but I'm awkward.
Always running, always living in the moment.
I saw signs in words that made machines work harder than they've ever worked before
like you were oil to my aching rusted bones
rusted together in the rain.

I see motives running fast inside every stupid phrase
but there was absence in your eyelids that kept me running on for days.
I left bruises on your neck while you left holes inside my chest
Were we just drunk and finding out that it meant nothing to ourselves?

You were the doll that endured pinpricks for his every twisted lie
I'm sorry that he hurt you, I know it's hard when you're still breathing
but were all just broken pieces of a puzzle which we hate, so we compensate our lack of faith
with drugs that won't keep us awake.

II

I was almost sleeping softly when your words crept in and caught me
drunk on bible verse and coffee. I said darling, here's all my sorry's
but we were hopeless from the start, our weary heads keep us apart.

I wish I could find a way inside
and make you change your blurry mind
but I'm so boring when I'm sober.

Winter Home

Winter Home

The moon holds a hazy gray glow
over blankets of white
made from delicate snow
and when the winter winds shake you
and bite at your bones
I'm your fireplace waiting back home

I'll be two arms for which you can hold
when the nights are so long
and so dark and so cold
and when all that you see
is as dead as the trees
remember, there's life in our love

the river of time moves by slow
though it's frozen in places
the water still flows
and if I find myself out on the ice all alone
you'll be the warm touch that warms up my soul

The Aurora

The Aurora

smooth milky feeling
your eyes like diamonds and your lips soft on mine
skin on skin melts together

our souls know no boundries and our hears beat like one
blending and joining
tangled like knots in ropes holding our bodies together with the strength of giants

unbound by our fleshy shells to dance in the night sky
forming lights like fire across curved magnet earth
the moon shines solely for you love and the forest calls your name like wind and rain

queen of all her creatures
measured by mountains my love for you
precipace of longing
carry my rock heart with you and I'll wear you like a rose

Foreverman

Foreverman

I will be the burning sun
the warm light on your face
and in the morning I will shine
and scare away the worst of dreams

I will be the solid rock
the one that holds your secrets
the mountain you can call your home
immovable range of granite

I will be the magnet earth
the ground that holds so true
I will be the sturdy globe
ever spinning in the ceaseless void

Waterfall

Waterfall

between uneven ground
where the creek bed cut
a path to where the water falls
the place in which we'd wash our past

some slippery rocks
and some half mast trees
the caves and caverns echoed deep
we circled our way downward

we were path finders to the great unknown
we were the seekers of truth

the journey where I found you there
the will of water inside you
following and exploring the rocky bed
they could not hold you back at all

I tasted you on my lips
as you fell all around me
I found life in the way you came together
you were flowing all inside my body

Wide Water

Wide Water

I

I found you
creek bound, beaming
water logged and sand-filled

wet shins
rough water
the flow and pull of you

over me
down and inside
we were wanderering

wanderers willing
wet skies and overcast
kissed you in the trembling air

II

I found you
beneath river rocks
the earth and stone and you

down and inside
arms like tree roots
hold me up high

we went through his home
but we didn't take much
just joy from being close

skipping logs and kids toys
treasure washed up with the tide
we could only take what we could carry

The River

The River

manic thrashing river
wide mouth deep and muddied
carving rock and wet earth
unbound act of measure

fed by rain and anger
the weight of all she's ever seen
buried all inside her grasp
sediment memories

crashing cause within her
the directions of her body
buried in the wet sand
all the pain she's given

turmoil in her ancient flow
the essence of her nature
they could not calm the tempest
for her valleys run the deepest

fierce and gorgeous river
all I ever needed
beautiful movements pull me
to follow her path forever

to admire her for all she is
the wild and turning river

Hospital Town

Hospital Town

we were the blood at night
to older parts of the city veins
from the vacant house
to his hospital bed

behind the length of shops
where the camera saw
this towns electric heart
where our feet were drown

and through the window
we could see the light
and on the sidewalk
where we sat at night

from the cemetary grave
in the tiny park
where you saw the ghost
who was falling hard

for you

and into you

and through you

Three Islands

Three Islands

through the creek and those weeds
we carried him to his new home
to rule over the land
marked by tower of stone

"King Timothy, his majesty" they cried
what good trinkets did we find?
on three islands

waist deep in water and thorns
carried that weight back with us

into the new world

into the warm night

Into your arms

King Timothy, his majesty
King of three islands

Reaction

Reaction

In the heart of a star we were forged
all from the same things
separate but one

two halves of the same whole
magneticly drawn
cursed with two bodies

a perfect fit for my empty spaces

we'll be there together
together again
spun in white light

back to the star from where we came
to join in fusion

there's more to us than what you see

It's Coming

It's Coming

It's always there
sleeping in silence and seclusion
waiting for you to fuck up

a monster hidden deep within
it's you he wants

it hungers for your torture
dont make it angry
dont let it slip

every slow torturous minute that ticks on
he is awakening from his slumber
your pain will fuel him
your death will complete him

burst from sleep my child!
break the chains I have contained you in
level the walls I built to keep you in
fuck her, make her your own

let it build
let it fuel your anger

tear open my chest
pour my insides down her throat
and into her swollen lungs

dont retreat until it's done
sip her blended heart with tatered glass
swollow her in pieces
she will scream down your throat

sleep wont come tonight

The Beast

The Beast

you try so hard
run away whore

it will be me in the end
and you have to deal with my wrath

how do I know when you feed me lies?
I take them all as untruths
I am pup to your word
and slave to your sickness

know I know

I laugh at you under breath
you will not take me submissive anymore
it's me who will laugh in your face
it's me who will kick you when your down

you fucked up

had you clue of my glory
still would you lie?
I am hard charger
I own the world

spit in your face and lick your neck
you're mine
you have earned me

run away whore, run away
hard charger's after you

- C. Gunter
